Glossary of graphic terms
Here is a list of some graphic terms used.
|Luminance, Luminosity||Luminance is the absolute amount of light emitted by an object per unit area, while luminosity refers to the perceived brightness of that object by a human observer. A star may appear brighter than another, simply because its closer, although the star further away, is actually brighter.
Luminosity also takes into account the fact that the human eye is more sensitive to green light than either red or blue light.
